Veterans Day Ceremony

Due to concerns relating to the Covid-19 virus, we did not host our traditonal, live Veterans Day Ceremony this year.  In lieu of our live ceremony, we created a virtual ceremony to share with the community.  This ceremony contains many of the elements of our traditional ceremony plus some new ones as well.  The video of our virtual ceremony is available for viewing via YouTube.  Click here to view the video.

Veterans Day Essay Contest

In recognition of Veterans Day, the Historical Society of Orange Park conducted our annual essay contest for Clay County students.  Students in grades 4 through 12 had the opportunity to explain the importance of celebrating our veterans and Veterans Day.  This year's essay winners were as follows:

You still have an opportunity to honor the Veteran(s) in your life through this important community project by purchasing an inscribed memorial brick paver that will be installed around the memorial.
